How long does IV therapy take?
Most infusions run 30 to 60 minutes depending on the formulation. Hydrate and Recharge are typically 30–45 minutes; Myers' Wellness and Recover are typically 45–60 minutes. Add time for check-in and clinical screening.
Do I need an appointment?
We recommend booking online or calling (337) 783-2410 ahead of time so a clinician can complete your screening and have an appropriate formulation ready. Booking also guarantees you a bay — we have three.
Is IV therapy safe?
Safety depends on screening. IV therapy is not universally appropriate — not every formulation is right for every patient, and clinical screening is required before treatment. IV therapy is also not a substitute for emergency care, a balanced diet, sleep, or treatment recommended by your healthcare provider.
Can I get an IV if I am sick?
That depends on clinical evaluation. Some situations are appropriate for IV therapy and some are not. Severe dehydration, chest pain, difficulty breathing, confusion, fainting, or any other potentially serious symptom needs emergency care — not an IV appointment.
How is IV hydration different from drinking water?
IV fluids are delivered directly into the bloodstream rather than absorbed through the digestive tract, which is why they are used clinically when oral intake is not practical or sufficient. That does not make IV therapy superior to good daily hydration — for most people, drinking water remains the foundation.
